About Ava:

Ava is a junior double majoring in Political Science and Sports Management. After attending law school post-grad, she hopes to pursue a career relating to sports law, either working as an agent or as a part of the legal counsel for an NFL team.

“BAR has provided me with the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally. BAR has helped me enhance my professional skillset and prepare for law school and an eventual career in law. I have found an incredibly special community and support system and have made friends that will last a lifetime. As New Member Development Chair, I hope to help each new pledge class feel that they can call BAR their home. I really enjoyed my pledging semester in BAR, and I aspire to create a positive pledging experience for new members so that they feel eager to be an active member in this amazing organization and take advantage of all it has to offer. I am so excited to give back to a community that has given so much to me.”

Outside of BAR, Ava is also a recruitment intern with the Michigan Football team.

Ava’s Interests: Sports Law, Cooking, College football, Running, and Spending time with family and friends.

Ava’s Hometown: San Jose, California

New Member Development Chair’s Responsibilities:

  • Manages new member development training, including presentations and requirements

  • Coordinates communication between executive board and new members

  • Organizes mentor and mentee pairings for fraternity

  • Acts as main resource for new members for any questions or concerns
